My Apologies

Because diners are far from perfect–and even the most battle hardened of us can be downright petulant in peckish circumstances. Hospitality (whose earliest meaning refers to the act of serving someone outside of your direct family) is a two-way street. Both parties must be allowed some small lapses, and forgiveness can often, ironically, sow the seeds of friendship. So here’s a shrine to my own shameful dining moments, and a way to make amends beyond what I hope was a sizeable-enough enhancement to your gratuity.
